It is the idea of priest Peter Tsankov, who has been serving for 12 years at the St. Vlasius Church in St. Vlas. Himself a lover of the beautiful countryside and the mountains, Father Peter with his personal labour built small chapels out of rubble stone, now 40 in number, as God’s people walked 40 years from slave Egypt to free Israel.
The trail offers an opportunity for meditation, prayer and reflection in the peace and quiet of nature, away from the noise and stress of everyday life.
